Brit Awards Rebrand

This is the new logo and award for the Brit Awards coming up in 2011. I've got to say I like he sleek new award and applying it typographically to the logo is indeed clever. In contrast, I've seen so many people using serifed classic fonts in typographic exercise so this idea isn't new but just conformist.

Facebook: The Book

Bouygues Télécom released the chance to have your your entire (or portion) of your facebook history offline in hardback format. They were limited to a 1000 print pun and they all got snapped up in just under half an hour. It sort of makes me want to do it myself but I'd probably just go about screenshotting all the pages where these guys actually designed layouts similar to what facebook had. it looks really great.

Jacon Bailey Intership

I'm currently working at London/Ipswich based designers Jacob Bailey. It's a small agency based in Shoreditch. I had the interview on the Friday and thankfully they liked my work so much they wanted me to start as soon as possible. I've already been thrown into some work but am sworn to secrecy so I can only post my work up when it's been release... or when I leave. Top people here. Hopefully more about this will follow.

Rudd Studio - Channel 4 Brand Update

London based Rudd Studio have just finished working on a brand update for Channel 4. They've just updated the channel in the last week or so but the changes give a refreshed look to a great brand who have always tried to keep a modern look to make themselves stand out.

Daft Punk - Derezzed

Finally! Daft Punk in Tron! Fantastic music video for one of the songs from the score done by the French Duo. The video boasts more special effect filled cut scenes pasted together in what is basically another teaser video for the Tron Legacy film but who cares? Daft Punk are in freaking Tron.

LEGO Star Wars Pixel Art

This is freaking awesome and possible the only thing that has made me turn my head from all the awesome stuff that Tron Legacy has been pumping out recently. I don't know if that kid at the bottom of the main picture made this all himself, it looks too professional to be done by some brat.

TRON Legacy Glow in the Dark poster

I really want this. They're releasing a soundtrack bundle and this is part of it. They're only released what the poster will look in the dark which is another thing that Disney are doing. They release material bits at a time to keep the interest of the fans/audience.


Also, the mini site they've made for the movie is fantastic. it has so many easter eggs, it keeps in theme with computer terminology. There's a light cycle game too which is bloody great too. Just shows how much effort they're putting into the viral marketing of this film. Can't bloody wait.

Gap Rebrand

American Apparel called, they didn't say anything, I just heard heavy breathing for a while. Oh also, the internet called straight after, they kinda got angry so I told them what ever you did that was so stupid, I'm sure you'd just go back to the way you were. How long shall I leave them waiting?

Really nice idea for an album here. I really want to do an album cover for a band... (or myself) and this is such a cool idea. Apparently the guy didn't need to use glue becuase the paper had so much friction it held itself closed. Nice.

Small band I found out about from Nebraska called UUVVWWZ. They were actually nice enough to send me a message letting me know who did their art work for their debut CD so probs to those guys. Max's website looks great too with heaps of really original work on there.

Adidas go Old School 3D

I'm a sucker for retro looking stuff. If there's anything in space and it has a neon glow, chances are it'll go in my inspiration folder. Have no idea who did this but then again I don't want to know otherwise I'll just perv over his work for ages.
